The Arowna-Green displays a pearlescence of light green through the skin. It has little variety in colour and for this reason is the lowest value Asian Arowana It has the unique personality and genetic characteristics of the Red and Golden Asian Arowana. However, it is not considered to have the same connection with Feng Sui or wealth.section.
The Banjar Red originates from Banjar Masin on the southern tip of Cameroon, Indonesia. It is known as the Banjar Red, Red Grade 2, Red Grade 1.5 or Yellow Tail Green. Although it develops pinky colour as a young fish, by the time it has matured it is a Yellow Tail Green Arowana, showing very similar colourations to the green but with striking yellow fins. It has no real connection with Feng Sui and is prised mostly for having the characteristics of an Asian Arowana while having a comparably lower price.
The Red Tail Golden is the first of the lower priced Arowana to generate true scale colour. It has a distinct Gold outer scale and in premium fish can develop clearly visible base colour as well. It colours quickly however, colour rarely reaches the 5th level of scales Believed to bring luck and wealth this is my recommendation as a first Arowana for those concious of a budget. It does not disappoint in personality or striking beauty, embodying the characteristics of the Asian Arowana.

Panda Arowanas are well known for premium quality specimens across the world. Axanthic (Panda) golden Arowana is a hybrid between a Red Tail Golden Arowana and a Cross-Back Golden Arowana. The High Back Red Tail Golden is a premium grade Red Tail Golden Arowana that is likely to have colour reach the 5th or possibly 6th line of scale. Its origins are the same as the RTG, selective breeding of the highest quality RTGs has made this fish available.
NEW Variety This is a cross between a RTG and a Tong Yang (a Cross of Super Red and Crossback) This variety has been bread specifically to fill the gap between Red Tail Golden and Super Red, and combines the characteristics of three distinct colour strains. It has a very unusual combination of colours, and although mid-range in price it is highly sought after due to its scarcity.
The Chilli Red Arowana is from the same origin as the Super Red. It is characterised by a more pronounced spooning of the heat before the back and generally a strong yellow base colour contrasts the deep Red of the outer scale. It is very difficult to judge the colour that will be present in the adult fish and due to the long development period and unique combinations of colour these fish are often expensive and sought after in larger sizes. Our Selection offers a pick of premium quality Arowana from any of the farms in Asia, and we will do our best to match the colours your are looking for based on lineage. However, for specific colour requests the fish will need to be at least 15inches or greater. Please see the shop for specific examples.
Tung Hu are well known for their premium grade Chilli Red Arowana.
The Crossback Golden Arowana originates in Cameroon. They have a rich golden appearance often contrasted against strong base colouring. Known as the Crossback due to the golden colour crossing over the 6th level of scales (the very top of the back) creating a full bodied and complete coverage of colour. They develop colour very early on, often having very distinct scale colour by 8-16inches. These are a stunning and majestic variety for any Arowana keeper.
This is a very rare specimen of a surviving Siamese Arowana. It is very unusual for fish such as this one to survive and having survived it is a very rare example. Fully functioning, swimming and eating. Price is a guide only!
